Guy Norman- Director spacetocreate (one of the Creative Lead organisations for the Confluence art and regeneration partnership)

“Geraldine worked with the Confluence art and regeneration partnership over 4 years, training and supporting us with devising, embedding and reviewing a Results Based Accountability (RBA) framework.

It’s been incredibly useful as a method and methodology.  It was fantastic to have an overarching framework. Putting guiding principles in place at the beginning helped us to align themes with the principles and performance measures…it gave us all a tool to guide us in everything we did. It was also really useful in determining the level of impact e.g. some smaller projects had more impact than bigger ones.

Everyone involved in delivering the project agreed that they would definitely use RBA again and that the experience of using it would help to shape the way that resources and responsibilities were allocated in future projects to ensure maximum impact.”

Angie Darlington,  Director,  West Wales Action for Mental Health (WWAMH)

“Geraldine is extremely knowledgeable about Result Based Accountability and running and managing organisations.  She is an experienced and talented Project Manager who brings a range of skills,  knowledge and passion to the work she does.   Geraldine has a good understanding of the dynamics of groups and organisations,  and is also very experienced in education and social care work in a range of settings.

Geraldine is excellent at engaging a whole range of people and building rapport and trust in order to help organisations focus on making a difference,  and working together to improve services and outcomes.  Geraldine delivers her training and work with a good sense of humour,  understanding and a values driven approach.  Geraldine has helped WWAMH to focus on the priorities for our organisation and helped us to demonstrate this in a measurable and clearly understandable way.”

Margaret Devonald Morris,  Team Manager, Children’s Continuing Care Service, Hywel Dda Health Board

I first met Geraldine when she worked as the Mid & West Wales Families First Consortium Project Manager. She also facilitated the Results Based AccountabilityTM (RBA) study days that I attended.  Following this study day I sought Geraldine’s advice on how I could implement RBA as a methodology to look at how our service could increase efficiency and capacity to achieve positive outcomes for our service users. Geraldine very kindly offered to facilitate a workshop for one of our professional groups. This has resulted in the development of a report card outlining how well this professional group is doing together with how they propose to improve their performance over the next year. This has given their service a focus with objective and realistic goals.

Geraldine has always made herself available to discuss and support us through the RBA process. This has been a positive experience thanks to Geraldine’s commitment and support.

Catrin Evans,  Project Worker, Plant Dewi

“Through Plant Dewi,  parents of the Llais Rhieni Ceredigion network and myself were fortunate to work with Geraldine and Sharron on a training resource looking at parental engagement.  A large part of this piece of work was developing a DVD about the barriers parents face to engagement,  and this was a daunting task,  bearing in mind that the group had no experience of film making whatsoever!

After only one session with Geraldine and Sharron,  parents gained skills and confidence in using the filming equipment,  conducting interviews and were suddenly engrossed in the task in hand. Without the encouraging and warm natured personalities of the “experts” it could have been a very different story.  Their thoughts and ideas helped to focus the parents and ongoing training and support was provided throughout the duration of the project which was vital as parents went out and about and interviewed others by themselves.

Parents developed a close working relationship with Geraldine and Sharron and through mutual respect and understanding the overall outcome of the sessions is outstanding and parents are proud of their DVD and enjoy delivering their tailor made workshop.”
